Common DISC Questions: Can You Have More Than One DISC Style?

One common question that frequently comes up during my consulting, coaching, training and speaking on the DISC model of human behavior is:

Can more than one DISC behavior style fit a person? or

Could I have more than one DISC behavior style?

My brief answer is: yes. Actually, strongly and emphatically:  yes!

None of  the four DISC behavior styles creates a neat or tidy “category” of people. The four behavior styles just give us objective and descriptive terminology to discuss typical or general behaviors of people who share certain traits, outlooks, and perspectives. No single quadrant, in and of itself, represents a “type” of person…
